I had appalling mood swings for at least 10 years before I stopped having periods. I asked for HRT and it was refused. My family and I went through hell for years, then when I actually stopped having periods – and the mood swings went away – the doctors tried to push me into having HRT. Naturally I refused because by then I didn’t feel I needed it any more. I just wish the medical profession would LISTEN TO WHAT PEOPLE ARE TELLING THEM.
